This hike is the "gourmet food-spa-hike" ... We were meeting in Plan-Mayen to initially folow the "Bisse du Ro". Afer this warm-up 2 hours hike we got the "Tseuzier's Dam" for lunch... Of course we ordered the wild meat tasting menu (4 dishes after one apetizer) that was beautifully joined by a white wine for aperitif and 2 bottles of red wine from Wallis. After a coffee it was time to tackle the hike up hill and it was becoming serious... almost 1000m of ascent and 3:40 walk planned... The weather was perfect and the trail was beautiful though pretty difficult... We managed to arrive at the hut on time. We settled in the dormitory before ending up in the dining room for dinner...
And yes were again hungry after all those calories burned. Jerome joined us after the soup and we all finish dinner together enjoying the bottle that Jerome had purchased in the moring at a local wine tasting. After a good card game that ended up with a short victory of Sam over Leo at the very end we all got back to bed... Apparently the forecast for the next day were "Nicht so gut" and "besser Vormittag" which means not so good but better in the morning... therefore we ordered breakkie for 6:30 am. The next morning was as expected "nicht so gut", so we started under the rain before the wheather cleared up in the area of the glacier. Approaching Bella Lui it started to rain once again. We deceided to walk down to our car rather than climbing up a little to catch the local cable car. After roughly 3.5 hours we got back to our car. It was time to prove that the title for this hike is indeed deserved, so we drove towards Anzere for a hot stone grilled meat dish and ended the day at the local spa with Hammam, Jacuzzi tub and sauna.
